ABOUT:
Coached by her brother, Brian, Jilleanne Rookard started roller skating at the age of 6 and didn't take up speedskating on ice until 2006. After bursting onto the Speedskating scene, Rookard immediately earned a spot on her first World Cup team in 2007 and again in 2009.
Rookard is dedicated to her family and the relationships in her life. Her mother passed away from cancer right before Christmas 2009, but Rookard was glad her mother knew she made and Olympic team and considers her a constant inspiration.
Whether the sport is softball, volleyball, bowling, diving, tennis, figure skating or roller hockey, Rookard gives each everything she's got. "I do everything with passion and love for sport and see where the road will take me. No limits."
