Biographical Information

Jeremy Swayman grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, where his dad, a podiatrist, served as a volunteer team doctor for the Alaska-Anchorage Seawolves. Swayman started attending Seawolves' games as a one-year-old on his father's back, and he soon became a stick boy for the team.

Swayman excelled in junior hockey with the local Alaska All-Star teams before heading to the University of Maine, where he finished his career as the Mike Richter Award winner, given annually to the best goaltender in NCAA Division I men's hockey, and was one of the three finalists for the Hobey Baker Award, given to the best player in college hockey.

Swayman was drafted in the fourth round by the Boston Bruins in the 2017 NHL Draft, and in his first season, sharing goaltending duties with teammate Linus Ullmark, he won the NHL's William Jennings Trophy with the league's lowest goals-against-average. The following season, he was named to his first NHL All-Star Game.

Swayman represented the United States at the 2022 IIHF World Championships and was the starting goalie for the 2025 IIHF World Championships when the United States won its first gold medal in 92 years at a standalone men's hockey world championship. He was also named to the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off roster for USA Hockey.
