Biographical Information

Jasmine Jones grew up in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, where she was a standout basketball player and a two-time state champion in the 4x100m relay at Hempfield Area High School.

Jones went to Eastern Michigan, where she competed in track and field, specializing in sprints (100m, 200 m, 400m, 4x100m). Her college strength coach nominated her for an All-American award, and as a result, five-time Olympic medalist Elana Meyers Taylor reached out to her via email, encouraging her to try out for the U.S. Bobsled team.

Five years later, Jones was competing at the 2023 IBSF World Championships in 2-woman bobsled. Then just three years later, Jones would win her first World Cup race in St. Moritz as the push athlete for three-time Olympic gold medalist Kaillie Armbruster Humphries.

Off the ice, Jones is a Senior Airman in the U.S. Air Force and trains in Lake Placid, New York, as part of the Air Force World Class Athlete Program (WCAP).
