A powerful sprinter and 2004 U.S. Olympic Team member, Giddeon Massie is seeking his second trip to the Olympic Games in the sprint-oriented track events - the team sprint, the keirin and the sprint. Over the course of the last decade, Giddeon has been one of the best American track sprinters on the domestic and international race circuits.

Born the son of a baseball player, Giddeon's athletic ability came naturally as a baseball and basketball player growing up. But after discovering cycling at the age of 10, Giddeon pursued the more non-traditional sport once the demands became greater, citing his aspiration to one day become an Olympian and his overall enjoyment of the sport.

In 2004, Giddeon was selected by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency to participate in a series of public service announcements that promoted clean, honest and fair competition with the theme: My Health. My Sport. My Victory. I Compete Clean. The campaign was appropriate after Giddeon was awarded gold and silver medals in the keirin and sprint, respectively, at the 2003 Pan American Games after an athlete who finished ahead of him failed a doping test.

When he's not on the bike, the multi-time national and Pan American champion enjoys dining out with friends, spending time with his parents, watching movies and any tennis match he can find. He's also an avid automobile enthusiast.
