- Emma is the daughter of Ann Ivory and Ed Ganja
- She also has two siblings, Abby and Rhys
- Emma began diving when she was 10 after seeing Laura Wilkinson win the gold medal in the 2000 Olympics, and she recalls watching the 2004 Olympic women’s 10-meter competition on VHS every day when she was younger
- She trained with the same club team as Laura, and the two are now close friends
- Emma was also a gymnast until she was 12
- During competitions, Emma likes to listen to music (particularly Taylor Swift and Drake)
- Emma’s favorite dive is 205B
- When she is not training, Emma enjoys watching other sports (she is a big Houston Texans fan and would love to meet JJ Watt),
- Emma is in law school at Indiana University and is interning with a judge (spring semester 2020)
