International Judo Federation Competition History: Dominic Rodriguez IJF Profile
Personal: A standout high school wrestler, Rodriguez became a star on the judo mat as well, winning three straight Cadet (U17) Pan American Championship titles beginning at age 15 in 2019. Competing at just his second-ever senior international event in 2022, Rodriguez declared himself as one to watch by competitors of all ages when he won gold at the Senior Pan American Championships less than a month before graduating high school. At just 17 years old, the win made Rodriguez the youngest U.S. man ever to win a Senior Pan Am gold. Later that year, Rodriguez made his debut at the Senior World Championships and now holds a top-40 world ranking with just over a year to go before the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
