Fink has been a force on the summer biathlon national scene for over a decade as he has represented the United States on six previous world championships teams in 1997-2000, 2005, and 2008. He also qualified for the world championship team in 2001. But, that year the United States withdrew from the world championships as the team was slated to depart days after the September 11 attacks. Fink posted ten top-five finishes at the national championships since 1997. His top international finishes were a first at the 2000 Czech International Biathlon Cup and a third at the 1998 Slovak Cup Biathlon. Fink is married to Leah Hammer Fink. They have two sons: Alex & Ben.
