Daniel Hoffman began competing with the U.S. Paralympics
Soccer National Team shortly after attending his first camp in July 2014. He competed in his first international competition the same year - at the Copa Americas, where the U.S. team finished in third. Originally a forward, Hoffman has since taken on a defensive role. He is a trained field player and goalkeeper.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Hoffman has travelled all over the country, attending five different colleges. He was born with cerebral palsy on his right side.
Outside of soccer, Hoffman enjoys
weightlifting and
cycling, and boasts that he can eat an entire Chipotle burrito in less than a minute.
