More
Claire Green has been an athlete as long as she can remember. She joined her first swim team at the age of three, and did competitive double-dutch for several years, and played volleyball. In high school she decided to go out for cross country as a way to get in shape for the club Volleyball season. That season, her high school team qualified for the 2014 Nike Cross National meet and she's been running ever since. Claire competed in track and field and cross country for The University of Arizona. During her time as a Wildcat, she earned All-American honors in cross country, the indoor 3,000 meters, and the indoor mile. After graduating, Claire joined the HOKA ONE ONE Aggies running club based in San Luis Obispo, California, to pursue her dream of becoming a professional Track and Field athlete. In 2019, she helped bring home the first club national title at the USTAF Club Cross Country Championships.
After moving back to Colorado in the summer of 2020 due to COVID-19, Claire decided to give modern pentathlon a shot. She enjoys the challenge of learning how to fence, ride, and shoot, and is constantly learning from her coaches and competitors. So far, her favorite new event is the ride, but she is loving fencing more and more each day. Her 2021 season goal was to qualify for the US World Cup team, and she is thrilled to have accomplished that. Claire is greatly looking forward to her first international season, getting to know the rest of the squad, and competing in the USA jersey,
