Son of Matthew and Sharon Bezenek, Handley was diagnosed with cerebal palsy his senior year of high school after attempts to join the military. Before he was born, the distance runner had a stroke that caused cerebal palsy. Due to a brain cyst, he has lower motor and muscular function in his right side. Handley enjoys traveling and public speaking. In 2014, Handley helped his men’s cross country team at Dakota State University win their first North Star Athletic Association title.Connect
