- Austin is currently living, working and training in Charlotte, NC. Austin paddled C1, racing on the National Team for many years before making the switch in 2005 to C2 with his partner Scott McClesky. They were a quick study, and in their first year together qualified for the US National Team.
Aside from being an accomplished paddler, he has a degree from Georgia State in Graphic Design. He is currently working for an advertising firm in Charlotte, as well as doing freelance work.
