- He started diving in 2011 and now trains four hours a day six days a week
- He says the hardest part about training is staying focused at practice
- As a seventh grader in 2011, Andrew broke a 22-year-old Nassau County (N.Y.) high school diving record
- His favorite dive is 109C on 10-meter, and his favorite diver is Russia's Dmitri Sautin
- A former gymnast, Andrew won the level 8 Junior Olympic national title on floor exercise for his age group in 2013
- He likes to eat french toast, eggs and bacon for breakfast on competition days
- When he is not diving, Andrew enjoys hiking, cooking, baking, tennis and pickle ball
- He has been involved in the Nassau County Pal Special Needs Unit, assisting children with disabilities in sports activities
