Olympic Wrestler Jordan Burroughs And Wife Lauren Expecting Baby No. 4

Jordan Burroughs and Lauren Burroughs attend the 2019 Team USA Awards at Universal Studios Hollywood on Nov. 19, 2019 in Universal City, Calif.

Wrestler Jordan Burroughs is about to have as many children as he has world championships.
The four-time world champion and 2012 Olympic champion and his wife Lauren announced Tuesday they are expecting their fourth child.
“And then there were four,” Lauren wrote on Twitter, alongside a photo of the rest of the family feeling her baby bump.

Jordan and Lauren were married in October 2013. Their first child, son Beacon, was born the next year. He was followed by sister Ora and youngest daughter Rise, born last January. Burroughs has said in the past that he and Lauren have tried to give their children meaningful and symbolic names for them to carry with them in life.

Burroughs’ wrestling life is that of one of the greatest U.S. wrestlers of all time. His career began at the University of Nebraska, where he was a two-time NCAA champion and three-time Big 12 champion. Just several months removed from college in 2011, he became a world champion for the first time, and the next year won a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team. In London, Burroughs powered his way through a decorated field to win the gold medal at the age of 24. Burroughs went on to win gold at the next three world championships.

Burroughs’ bid to make a third Olympic Games and try for a second gold medal came to an end last weekend at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Wrestling in Fort Worth, Texas, where he was defeated in the best-of-three final by Kyle Dake. This will be the first Olympic Games or world championships without Burroughs since his senior career began 10 years ago.
