Biographical Information

NyKeeta Christopher grew up in Immokalee, Florida, and played basketball and football, becoming the first woman to compete on her high school tackle football team.

After stepping away from football for some time, Christopher played semi-professional women’s tackle football with the Miami Fury of the Women’s Football Alliance. In 2026, she made the U.S. Women’s Flag Football Team and debuted for Team USA at the world championships, where the U.S. secured a silver medal.

Christopher is the oldest of seven children. She is known as “Three” throughout the flag football community, a nickname that is representative of her sister Shatoria Brown, who passed away along with Brown’s two children in a drowning accident in 2018.  Christopher says on the name: “I carry the name with pride because it allows me to honor their legacy every chance I get ... I bring that memory on the field because it reminds me to be fearless, grateful and to enjoy life to the fullest.”
