Biographical Information

Nico Casares grew up in Miami playing soccer and flag football, including winning a national youth Flag Football championship.  Casares played multiple sports in high school, including basketball, track and field, and tackle football. 

Casares attended NCAA DIII Catholic University, where he was a first-team all-conference player at quarterback. Casares first made the U.S. national team in 2024, and two years later, at the 2026 IFAF World Championships as the starting quarterback, he led the U.S. in passing yards and passing touchdowns, helping the U.S. secure its sixth consecutive world title. 

Off the field, Casares graduated from Catholic University with a degree in biomedical engineering.
