Biographical Information

Ja’Deion High grew up on a ranch in Hereford, Texas, and his first job was tending to the pigs, goats, sheep and other family animals.

High was an All-District football and baseball player in high school, and then attended Texas Tech University, where he chose to join the football team as a walk-on wide receiver. By his final season in Lubbock, he had been awarded an athletic scholarship and was the team’s second-leading receiver and a nominee for the Burlsworth Trophy, given to the nation’s top player who began his career as a walk-on.

High joined the U.S. Men’s Flag Football Team in 2023 and helped the U.S. capture its fifth consecutive world title at the 2024 IFAF Flag Football World Championships

High considers his father, J.D., as the biggest influence on his life. He says his father taught him “No matter the circumstances, just get up and keep going. Wanting better doesn’t happen without working hard.”
