Biographical Information

Deliah Autry-Jones grew up in Tampa, Florida, playing multiple sports. In high school, she excelled at basketball and flag football, where in her senior season she was named All-State and the Hillsborough County Flag Football Player of the Year.

Autry-Jones attended the University of South Florida for her bachelor’s degree in health services and then attended Florida A&M for a doctor of physical therapy, starring in club flag football at both schools.

Autry-Jones made her first national team in 2021 and helped the United States win its second consecutive gold medal at the world championships later that year. Autry-Jones has represented the U.S. in flag football at subsequent world championships and The World Games in 2022 and 2025.

Off the field, Autry-Jones is a pediatric physical therapist and also provides flag football training for girls in the Tampa Bay area through her non-profit Camp13. Autry-Jones’ goal is to increase girls’ participation in flag football, having said about her own experience: “It is empowering for women to play a once male-dominant sport and be good at it. I found my voice and leadership skills through this sport. I feel unstoppable when I play, and it translates in other aspects of my life.”
